Description
A large living room of 55 m² takes up a large part of the ground floor of the gîte “Le Pressoir” ****. This bright living room takes advantage of the morning sun and offers a beautiful view of the castle.
All the walls are in freestone, keeping the cool well in summer. The living room includes a cozy lounge area with fireplace, a dining area with the old table from the castle kitchen, dating from the 16th century and a fully equipped open kitchen, with a worktop covered with pretty old floor tiles .
A large double-sided wood-burning stove completes the electric underfloor heating of this space. Further on, a corridor provides access to a laundry room, a WC and a large double bedroom with bathroom.
On the 1st floor, a corridor leads to 2 large triple bedrooms, a double bedroom, a shower room and a WC. The old beams have been preserved and give this 132 m 2 gite all its charm.
Outside, you have a private garden of 1200 m2 and a landscaped and enclosed terrace of 120 m2 with barbecue. It is in this very well exposed and sunny space that you will enjoy enjoying the sun with a good drink.
In 1666, the archives of Le Pressoir described it as a smallholding or even a barn, stable, land with vines on foot, all for 25 arpents.
Later, in 1710, this stronghold of high justice includes 90 acres of vines and woods, and 2 press rooms, one of which is located on the site of the living room of your gîte. The presses were used until 1850, when Phylloxera came to destroy the vines of the whole of Europe.
