The layout is spacious and semi-open with plenty of space to spread out among antiques and heirlooms: on the walls are hung paintings by Marie-Christine's talented mother.
On cooler days, you can light the fire: find plenty of books to read, games to play and movies to watch. Three generous bedrooms are on the first floor - all with lovely garden views.
A country house-style kitchen is stocked with the basics, but your first breakfast will also be waiting for you with a bottle of wine or cider. A private chef can be arranged or cooking lessons can be arranged.
Stroll through two acres of gardens with mature trees, roses and lush lawns. Two terraces are ideal, one for shade and another for a sunny evening drink.
A trampoline, a swing and a sandbox will delight the little ones and you can play tennis or table tennis. Drive five minutes into Bayeux to shop for amazing local produce at the famous Saturday morning market.
