The Cottage “La Brosse”**** comprises on the ground floor, a large entrance opening onto a comfortable living room (34m²). It is decorated with antique furniture where it is good to live by the fireside. The adjoining kitchen-dining room (26m²) is equipped with all the comfort you need for a good holiday.
You will be surprised to see, through the kitchen window, 1 or 2 wild boars, envious of your vegetable peelings. There, many "pigs" proudly rub shoulders in the hunting park. The kitchen opens onto the covered terrace where it is pleasant to stroll in the sun.
You are in your private, enclosed garden (1700m2) with a view of a 19th century rock garden and the Château. Still on the ground floor, the entrance also provides access to a separate WC and a double bedroom, where the bedposts are finely sculpted. Next, bathroom, (with LL and SL).
Upstairs, two attic double bedrooms are shared on the landing, a shower and a WC. To fight against the frost, an insert installed in the living room also heats all the other rooms via heat vents.
The archives of the Cottage de la Brosse date back to the 14th century. Later, in 1666, La Brosse is described as a smallholding with barns, stable, land with vines, all for 25 acres. In 1710, the fief of La Brosse, fief of high justice includes 90 arpents of vines and woods and 2 press rooms... A rockery is built in 1861 in the garden of La Brosse, water games falling in cascade.
The brush remained in use as a farm until 1975. The buildings were completely restored in 2003, retaining the original exposed beams and stones. After major works, La Brosse and Le Pressoir have been transformed into charming gîtes.
While being very functional, the Gîte de La Brosse is comfortable, warm and friendly.
